This week we are looking at warmer weather- the 60s, cool weather, mostly cloudy with some sun. With a very low wind and precipitation probability. This weekend will be mixed with thunderstorms and sunshine.
All next week will be around a high of 60 to 70 degrees. It will be raining toward the end of the week, starting Thursday, May 16. And it looks like we will be getting thunderstorms the next weekend.
This week’s average is a lot colder than it was last year- 2018. Last year was high of 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The next week average both years is about the same, around a high of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Although last year, we had no precipitation while there will be some expected next week.
On April 10-12 and 29, 2019 we had heavy snow. It was very warm and sunny like 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit the week before April 10th. All of a sudden it dropped dramatically to around 30 degrees on April 10th.
“It was sticky enough to build a snowman!” said an Aitkin Rippleside Elementary student. The student and their siblings build a snowman during the sunny evening of April 13th.
“It felt like the holidays, I wish we had this snow during that time instead of the weird weather we had this past Christmas. It seems like we have been getting longer winter and skipping Spring and Autumn.” said an Aitkin resident.
