Golf lessons or life lessons?

You may not think golf is a sport, but that's your choice. As a senior that is only in one sport, golf has taught me a lot about life and so have my teammates. It has taught me that you can’t change anything by complaining about it but that you have to go out and physically do it. You have to put in your time and focus on what you are doing and try to fix it and if you can’t, just take a break and don’t get stressed out or mad.
A young wise kid that goes by the name of Sam Sadlowsky, or Mazda as his teammates call him, once told all of us that “it’s all in the mental game” or would say “it’s all up here” while pointing to his head. We would joke about it and not take it seriously, but in reality he is completely right. If you get all mad after one bad shot it’s going to get in your head. You just need to forget about it and just have fun and don’t let things like that get in your way.
The memories I have made and that our team has made will always continue with me for the rest of my life. The time that we stayed up until three in the morning after the first round of sections and played video games and not to mention are room was a suite and had a jacuzzi. The time Sam wore a pair of elf ears into a Chinese restaurant was also great plus he forgot that he still had them on. I will even remember our last match where we were in first place in the conference and then we all played absolutely terrible. Not only did we end up getting 3rd place in the conference because of that but I know I feel like I not only let the team down but Coach Statz as well. The only thing we can do is move on, it's life not everything is going to work out like you planned.
I have learned that I'm going to miss my teammates and my coach and all the memories we have made. The yearly trips to the nearest White Castle, the early morning tee offs at sections, and the rides in the van where we have interesting conversations. I will also miss not just the varsity team, but all of the underclassmen. I sincerely hope that they become successful in their years to come.
