Year-end schedule keeping seniors busy

As the end of the year approaches, you can almost feel the stress of the senior class growing and growing. There are a million dates and times to have in mind as the next month of our lives continues on. The following are important dates for the Class of 2018 to keep in mind:
Wednesday, May 2 — Senior Reception and Awards Ceremony
At 7 p.m. at Aitkin High School there will be refreshments served in the cafeteria, which will be followed by the awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Seniors must be in attendance to receive any scholarships and awards handed out that night. Semi-formal attire is recommended.
Thursday, May 24 — Seniors last day of class
This is the last day of classes for the senior class of 2018!
Friday, May 25 — Senior Class trip
The senior class will be taking a trip to Breezy Point Resort in Breezy Point. Seniors will meet in the auditorium Friday morning (time is still to be determined) prior to loading the busses and leaving the school. Prior to senior skip day, seniors will be given permissions slips that must be signed by parents and other school staff giving students the all clear to go on the trip.
Thursday, May 31 — Graduation Practice
Seniors are to meet in the Auditorium at the beginning of the school day where they will then attend the end of the school pep rally. After being dismissed from the pep rally, seniors will move to the Senior Commons Area/New Gym to begin a run through of graduation. Practice will end at about 10:30 a.m. when seniors will be dismissed.
Friday, June 1 — Graduation and Grad Blast
Graduation will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1. Following the ceremony, graduates, family, and friends should meet in the old gym for pictures. Seniors will then stay at the school for Grad Blast from 9:45 p.m. to 6 a.m. on June 2.
