The band and choir trip is just around the corner for students in either art program and students couldn’t be more excited.
“I think it’s going to be a great experience for everyone going,” said senior Tucker Schwartz. “It’ll really broaden their horizons. Plus, being able to play different styles of music and being exposed to the wide variety of music will be good.”
The trip takes place every three years and they travel typically to places like Orlando, New York, and Washington D.C. This year they will be tackling two of those places in one trip, staying in Washington D.C. and New York City.
The students will leave for Washington D.C. on the morning of June 3 and stay there for three days, departing for New York City on the sixth day where they will then stay for four more nights before returning home on the 10th.
Some of the sights they will be seeing on their trip include the Natural History Museum, MLK Memorial, Air and Space Museum, Times Square, Chinatown, and even a stop at the eight o’clock showing of Aladdin on Broadway.
“I’m looking forward to just seeing all the new things and learning more about the culture of different places,”
said junior Johnny Ryan.
It should be an exciting experience for all students attending.
“I’m really excited for the trip because of all the different opportunities,” said senior Heather Gaulke.
Yes, this year’s trip definitely garners support from all the students attending and it looks to be a valuable experience.
