Easy going and confident, Josh Carlberg seems to tackle most problems that face him and always looks for more to strike down, whether they are his own or someone else’s. He wears his heart on his sleeve and considers himself an introspective person devoted to becoming better while having fun doing it.
Josh attends church nearly every Sunday, God being one of the things most important to him and his life along with being involved in the Feed My Starving Children program.
Aside from that he enjoys engaging in all sorts of social activities with friends, nailing tennis balls inefficiently with his racket, and cranking out piano music like a mad scientist. An all-around Renaissance man, Josh enjoys the variety life offers. Josh enjoys traveling and has been to Colorado and Mexico. One of his most defining moments being when he got his driver’s license, learning just how much he hates slow drivers.
He plans on going to Bethel University, a stepping stone for him to get his biomedical engineering degree. “I’m hoping this job will get me a lot of money and a nice schedule so I can have more free time,” said Josh. Actions like these have led him to become a member of the National Honor Society.
His friends refer to him as Young Money, as it is rumored he has the best Lil’ Wayne impression. Aside from throwing out his gangster nods he is also a baller on the court, even being a tennis captain. “I’m just glad I am about to graduate,” he said. “If I wasn’t captain of the tennis team there wouldn’t be a whole lot of things motivating me right now.”
Also dabbling in work, Josh sells firewood, lays brick at Up North Fireplace, and works at the local grocery store. “I love Paulbeck’s more than anything,” says a possibly sarcastic Josh.
