Skip Day actually to be a day off this year

Every year in recent times seniors get out of school a week earlier than everyone else. During this week off the seniors come back for one day to run through graduation and also have their “Senior Skip Day.” This year we are working towards having senior skip day on the last Friday that seniors have school because what is senior skip day if you're not really skipping a day?
Seniors will be leaving at 8:30 a.m. to go to Breezy Point on May 26 for Senior Skip Day. There will be multiple activities that they will be able to do. Lunch starts around noon. Seniors will also be having dinner there and will talk about class prophecies and "remember whens" before heading home around 7:30 p.m. It is a traditional last day for the seniors before walking across the stage one last time together.
“Giving these last couple of days off for the seniors makes it easier for them to get everything ready for graduation and figure out where everyone is for the ending of the year,” Karelis said. “Then the juniors move to seniors and we bring in the sixth-graders to show them what high school is all about.”
