'Enjoy senior year and do your work'
By Tyler Franke
Published March 9, 2023 We’ve all heard it from our teachers: “Focus on your work.” Our teachers have told us over and over. Hearing this is annoying and maybe they’re just trying to kill our fun. Or are our seniors telling us the same thing? Do your schoolwork is what both our seniors, Clayton Purdy and Hayden Workman, said. The answer to most questions for the seniors was, “Do your schoolwork.” It helps with sports, keeping grades up, and preparing for after school. How do you manage your school and sports? Do your schoolwork. They also suggested taking some time off from your sports if you need time to get yourself together and refocus and then come back to sports when you're ready. College classes are free credits and it saves you money in the long run, but Workman said, “I didn’t take any because they weren’t necessary.” If you know you wont need them, don’t take them. If you're not sure what you want to do then take them. What classes should you take, shop classes or any food class? They recommended any foods classes, shop classes, ceramics, and the holocaust class. Nervous underclassmen have nothing to worry about, just do your work in class. These two seniors said don’t be nervous because it's the easiest year. One thing you should focus on is that your friends have fun during senior year. It's your last year. To enjoy your senior year more you can partake in extracurricular activities. Both of our seniors said yes to participating in activities for the school because that's the last opportunity you have so do it so you don’t regret it. We heard it from our teachers and now we've heard it from our seniors. Enjoy senior year and just do your work. |
