Gaulke qualifies for BPA Nationals
By Samantha Hanson
Published March 13, 2019 Business Professionals of America is a club that any student grades 9-12 can join. It teaches students about the business industry and focuses on leadership for young adults. BPA had a good run at state this year. In previous years they had a few individuals advance into Nationals, and this year we have one student advancing. Amy Gaulke took second at state this year and has the opportunity to move on to Nationals May 1-5 in Anaheim, California. AHS had some close runner-ups as the Video Production Team (Maddie Buisman, Owen Miller, Hannah Paulbeck) and Administrative Support Team (Kaija Davies, Kayla Welle, Trista Brandt, Nathan Hagestuen) both took third. Only the top two of each category at state can move on to nationals. If either of the two teams ahead of them decide they do not want to go, the third-place finishers will be the next on the list. The students who have participated have not officially receive their rewards yet, as they had to leave early due to the Winter storm coming. Anyone interested in joining in upcoming years may talk to either Gloria Curtiss or Scott Miller for more details. |
