Shirts Plus has some changes in store. The new owners, Molly Stermer and Kasey Barrett, had been looking for their own business when they decided to buy Shirts Plus. They thought it would be a great fit and they have had a variety of returning customers along with a pile of new customers coming to test the waters and see what they have to offer.
Kasey is the graphics designer who came up with the new logo for Aitkin High School. Aitkin’s baseball team and the school’s wrestlers have adopted the new logo and they are trying to pair up with the football team to take on the new logo. Turkey Times is using the new gobbler logo as well at the top of the Web page.
Molly has a whole new stock of different fabrics to sell to the public. “So far people wanted new designs and fabrics and this seems to be the change they were looking for,” Stermer said. The last owner of Shirts Plus had the same solid price and same fabric for all of their clothing compared to Molly’s whole new variety of fabrics that all have different prices so the customer has a chance to get exactly what they are looking for.
Shirts Plus is now accepting applications from high school students to come in and work from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. There will be a lot more hours available to work in the summer when school is out. Also a benefit that comes with the job is that you have full access to the newest Gobbler Gear as it is released to the public.
