Getting through the senior slide

With only a month left, most seniors have started their senior slide. Some recently, some months ago, and some at the beginning of the year. I don't think that there is a senior who isn't doing a senior slide as we are approaching graduation.
The senior slide is when seniors in high school decide, especially after they get accepted into a college, that they want to slack off and be lazy. Some may not know that they are doing the senior slide, but if you are experiencing these symptoms you are definitely having the senior slide: Freaking out about life after high school. Maybe it's going off to college and having to meet new friends or figure out how to live on your own without your parents. It could be working after you get your diploma and make money right away. When you are walking around school like a boss and you think you own it. You think that you can yell at the underclassmen, you can get away with stuff like not turning assignments and still graduate.
There are many ways to deal with your senior slide. One way to deal through it is to watch your favorite entertainment app. For example, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime are great apps to watch your favorite shows on. You can go to the store and buy your favorite snacks. Personally, I really like Gushers and Whales cheese crackers. Staring at your homework and not doing it until the last minute is a GREAT way to deal with your senior slide. Naps are also great! Taking naps is one of my specialties. Getting home at 11 at night after a doubleheader softball game and crawling into bed is one of the best feelings. Waking up at 6:30 in the morning to go to school and you are tired, so taking a nap in class when you are watching a movie is a great time to do that. Scrolling through social media is another easy way to get through your senior slide. You see a picture of your grandparents down in Arizona as they are enjoying the sunlight. Another way to deal with your senior slide is to just cry. You have a countdown to graduation or the days left of school and you cry because you are stressing about how to pay for college. You cry because you aren't sure if you're able to make it on your own.
To all the up and coming seniors. Senior year is going to make you cry A LOT but in the end, it will be worth it. “My senior year experience was like the sauerkraut at lunch today," Ashley Dwyer said. "It tasted like wet lettuce.” Just get through your senior slide and you'll be fine. Good Luck!
