Brynn Wilson is a brilliant and athletic sophomore at Aitkin High School. She is a three sport athlete: Tennis, basketball, and track and field. Outside of sports, Wilson is a proud member of both Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Peer Leaders. Wilson is an inspiration and role model in the school, community, and especially on the tennis court.
Miss Wilson enjoys the sport of tennis the most. Her tennis career started in the seventh grade. Brynn recently earned the tennis team honors of “Rookie of the year” and “Most Improved Player.” This tennis player definitely shows her dedication to her favorite sport. She rarely comes off the court without some scrape or bruise from her hard fought battle in her singles match.
Balancing three sports as a student athlete can be a challenging task at times, according to Wilson. She has to maintain her friendships and family duties. On top of family life and friendships, Wilson also has to keep up with schoolwork and her sports practices. She is quite a busy young lady, but for her the dedication to her sports are absolutely worth it. Wilson says she has grown from her sports experiences, saying she has “built relationships with coaches and teammates on and off the courts.”
Brynn’s role model and inspiration is her mother. Wilson admires that her mother “always manages to juggle everything in life so gracefully and is so positive in every situation.” This young lady tries to take after her mother, and she says her mom is “always right, and knows what is best for me.”
The promising young star plans to play tennis, basketball, and track and field throughout the rest of her high school career. After high school, she hopes to study in the medical field at either Gustavus or St. Thomas. She hopes to continue her tennis career in college too. Wilson says that the advice she wants to give everyone is to “always pursue your passions.”
