By Madilyn Amundson Published March 23, 2018 The Little Mermaid was an iconic movie for any 2000’s child. Now, it will be an iconic play for the student body of Aitkin High School. David Curtiss, the lead, says, “You can expect very extravagant costumes.” I was in the school after hours one day, and there was a costume out, I’m assuming it was Ursula's, and it was indeed extravagant.
Mrs. Blake, the mastermind behind the musicals here at Aitkin High, said she was most excited for the public to see all of the talented people in the play. “I think it’s a great family show and it will be appealing to all ages,” she said. “I’m excited for people to see and hear the talent we have.”
The play will start on Wednesday, April 4 at 2 p.m., open to all public, and will continue showing through April 7. The showings on April 5-7 will all begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets for "The Little Mermaid" will went on sale to the public on Monday. This year tickets can be purchased online at isd1.org or in the Aitkin High School District Office from 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
