The girls basketball team had a good season, ending up with a record of 18-8.
“I think the season went a lot better than most people expected, but I knew if we played as a team and played with a lot of heart we could come away with a good season,” said Lisa Anderson.
Lisa said that the key to their season was balanced scoring, good teamwork, and most importantly having fun. “Even when we lost we enjoyed every second on the court,” Lisa said. The majority of the team says that their favorite part of the season was beating Crosby on their home court.
Towards the end of the season the girls had been playing really well. The last few games the girls had some tough competition and lost momentum ending the season a little sooner than expected.
“This season didn't end how we wanted, but there is a lot of young talent in the next couple years,” said Lisa. The girls that are coming back next year plan on working even harder and trying their best to make it to the state tournament.
