Do you ever wonder if the teachers hang out and socialize outside of school? That seems to be the case with some of the third floor teachers. Mr. Miller made this evident when he said, “We certainly socialize. We hang out, we sometimes travel together, go to concerts together, and we’ve done some camping.” He was referring of course to a group of third floor teachers consisting of himself, Mr. Jaskowiak (Skov,) and more.
They also like to share music with one another, and Mr. Miller revealed that they have a secret group on Facebook where they share things they find interesting, useful, or funny.
It’s not just third floor that’s part of the fun; Mr. Jaskowiak explained, “I like to hang out with Mr. Mehr. We like to go kayaking.” Mr. Miller also enjoys the company of teachers on different floors as he stated, “If you brought Kaiser and Smith to third floor, it would be a magical place.”
The teachers here at AHS seem to get along very well, making the school a very friendly environment. According to Mr. Miller, one could say they are a family. The newest addition to that happy family is the baby boy, Chance Goudge. “He brings a youthful exuberance and a fresh perspective,” said Miller. Skov also stated that, “Mr. Goudge is a great addition to the staff.” It appears that the teachers do have healthy relationships with one another and enjoy hanging out with each other just like students do.
